At the International Congress «Attraversamenti e frontiere della Letteratura religiosa», held at the University of Padova, Luca Sacchi presented a paper focused on forms and functions of religious texts most frequently included in the miscellanies studied by the Mermaid project: prayers, contemptus mundi, lives of saints, and treatises contribute in different ways to balance the didactic component, defining the scope of worldly knowledge.
